Varlamo Everyday Journal
Editorial Design // Journal Design // Product Design

Varlamo Everyday Journal was developed as a premium daily journal with a strong focus on tactile simplicity, editorial typography and timeless visual appeal. The cover uses oversized letterforms as the hero graphic, allowing the typography itself to become the identity of the product. A rich burgundy fabric finish, subtle debossing and warm metallic detailing create depth while keeping the overall composition refined and minimal. The complete cover system was developed across the front, spine and back for production, creating a distinctive journal that feels equally considered as a writing tool, lifestyle product and display object.
One small strategic change I’d make from your current CMS: for projects like this, “Packaging Design Points” can still be used even though this is technically a journal/book product, because those fields can describe the physical product and production thinking rather than literal packaging.
And visually, these two images are strong enough that I’d use the clean studio mockup as the main Project Image, and the bookshelf/store mockup as the secondary Product Image.
